QMAXIS silicon carbide sandpaper from the United States is a specialized sandpaper used for grinding in laboratory metallographic analysis. It is suitable for metallographic grinding and polishing machines and belongs to the category of water resistant sandpaper.

Choose the appropriate sandpaper based on the diameter of the grinder you have chosen. There are 8 inches (200-203mm), 9 inches (220-230mm), 10 inches (250mm), and 12 inches (300mm), respectively, divided into adhesive with and without adhesive.

1

The advantages of QMAXIS silicon carbide sandpaper are: the paper base has strong toughness, wear resistance, and is not easy to tear; High flatness, non curling; Good water resistance; High removal rate; Long service life. This type of sandpaper can quickly remove the surface layer and deformation layer of the material, effectively shortening the subsequent sample preparation time. This type of sandpaper usually uses silicon carbide abrasive particles with uniform particle size and excellent grinding effect as the main abrasive. When grinding, it is not easy to cause deep scratches, and high-end metallographic sandpaper refers to those with extremely fine mesh sizes, such as P2400 and P4000, used for high-precision grinding and polishing. The advantage of this sandpaper production process is that the abrasive is flat, the scratches are fine after grinding, and after polishing, the metallographic structure of the sample can be observed under a high-power metallographic microscope.

Metallographic sandpaper used for metallographic analysis and grinding is usually divided into:

Coarse grinding (P80-P320)

Zhongmo (P400-P800)

Fine grinding (P1000-P2000)

Fine grinding (P2400-P7000)

The grinding disc diameters that can be used for metallographic grinding and polishing machines are divided into:

8 inches (200-203mm), 9 inches (220-230mm), 10 inches (250mm), 12 inches (300mm)
